Rainforests Destruction

Isn´t it frightening the way people are destroying our rainforests? Isn´t it unacceptable the way they are damaging our environment? Even with all the media attention, the problem is far more serious than it was before, and it will definitely get worse if people don´t take into account the harm they have been causing to the future generations.                                                                                                           To begin with, the world´s growing population has been the main cause of rainforests destruction. People need land to live and wood products to consume. In addition to that, men´s ambition is totally out of control. Nowadays, they not only cut down a great deal more trees than in the last few years, but they also burn the forests to open up areas to cattle. Unfortunately, all the issues mentioned here are only some of the many causes that have contributed to deforestation.
If we don´t keep in mind that something must be done urgently, sooner or later, it will be impossible to live in our planet. Furthermore, consequences of deforestation are almost certain to jeopardize life on Earth. Erosion, flooding, the extinction of animals and plants, and climate change are just some of the predictable effects.
Taking everything into account, one good solution would be the reducement of products that come from rainforests. As long as more recycling programs and collective actions were created, our society would be considerably more aware of the importance of their attitudes. Not only that, but making projects based on real solutions, instead of idealistic ones, would be far more effective than the projects that have been done until now. So, what can we do from here?
